Dear U7’s Manager\Team Administrator
Further to the earlier notes sent about the remaining Trophy Events, I am pleased to announce that in conjunction the Wiltshire FA and Futsal that the two remaining Trophy Events will be held on Sunday 8th March and Sunday 15th March.
This is not a tournament but a League Trophy Event and will replace all League Games for these weekends so only teams that are currently entered in the League can participate, these Events are ‘free’ to enter.
I appreciate some teams have large squads but we are adopting a similar approach as you would with league games. Futsal games are played as 5v5 with a squad of eight players, this ‘mirrors’ a similar approach to league fixtures, as this should allow all players to play a minimum of 50% of the playing time available. You may want to consider letting the substitutes manage the team for specific games, this is something that has been tried and the players thought it was great.
The plan for this event is that teams will be placed into groups of 4 or 5 depending on teams attending and the winners of each groups will receive a winner’s medal or trophy.
The plan is for all U7 matches to be played between 9.30am-1130am, with a presentation after the last match. However, timings will be confirmed nearer the event.
So from here I would like all managers to confirm your attendance for these events by Wednesday 25th February.
