Please appreciate this information is relevant at of the time of typing. By the time most of you come back for fixtures – the picture could and probably will change. However it is relevant to provide you/your members with the most up to date information.
Gloucestershire, Somerset (including the North Somerset area), Swindon and the New Forest and will be placed into Tier 3 from Boxing Day
In brief, this will have no impact on grassroots youth football, but does have an implication on grassroots adult football (those outside of Step 3-6), in that players and teams are NOT permitted to travel in or out of the affected areas. Those teams that have players that reside in these authorities will therefore be ‘locked in’ and not be able to fulfil fixtures in any other local authority area. This does mean these teams cannot travel between Tier 3 areas.
Oxfordshire, Hampshire (excluding the New Forest) and Berkshire will be in Tier 4 from Boxing Day
In brief, all grassroots adult football must stop in these areas (inclusive of Step 3 -6), and players and teams in youth football are NOT permitted to travel in or out of these affected areas. Those youth teams that have players that reside in these authorities will therefore be ‘locked in’ and not be able to fulfil fixtures in any other local authority area. This does mean that youth teams cannot travel between Tier 4 areas.
