Following the Government’s announcement on the weekend that England will be entering a period of lockdown from 5th November until 2nd December, all NWYFL games due to be played in November have been postponed.
This decision has been based on the information in the announcement, and the subsequent confirmation from Oliver Dowden, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, on Twitter:
Q: Can children play grassroots sport?
A: This will be permitted in school settings. Unfortunately we need to pause grassroots sport outside school to reduce the transmission risk from households mixing. As soon as we can resume this, we will.
