*Please note that the ‘Safeguarding Children Course’ and ‘Introduction to First Aid in Football’ are available as modules within ‘Introduction to Coaching Football’. If you have completed Introduction to Coaching Football, you do not need to complete ‘Safeguarding Children Course’ and ‘Introduction to First Aid in Football’ as separate courses until the qualifications are due for renewal.
** Qualifications obtained under the previous course “Safeguarding Children Workshop” are valid for 3 years.
- Only coaches with the above required qualifications are allowed in the technical area or to be involved at training.
- A maximum of three coaches are only allowed in the match day technical area.
- All remaining coaches on match days & non-qualified adults (including parent helpers) must be behind the respect line.
It is recommended that parents / carers complete the Safeguarding Awareness for Parents & Carers | The Boot Room (thefa.com) . This is a free 30 minute online course which aims to give you the tools and information to recognise what should be in place to support your child to have a positive football experience in their club or football setting, as well as how to identify and report any concerns about poor practice or abuse
