Please be aware that currently the League is experiencing a shortage of referees. As a result, several matches will be without a league appointed officials for the foreseeable future.
Whilst this situation is unfortunate, the NWYFL are partnering with the Wilts County FA to help resolve the issue.
In the meantime, all clubs are reminded that in the absence of a league appointed ref, the responsibility will be on the home club to provide one. We encourage you to work with your opponents, who may have access to qualified referee. The League accepts that in the event that a qualified referee isn’t available, then a non-qualified referee can be used.
Should a non-qualified referee be required to take charge of a match, the NWYFL strongly requests that both teams, coaches and supporters do everything possible to be supportive to that individual, who will more than likely not want to take the job, but will do so to ensure a game can take place.
As a last note, teams are kindly requested to not use youth’s below the age of 16 as your non-qualified referee.
As a reminder, matches cannot be postponed due to no referee available.
Thank you for your patience while we look to resolve this shortfall.
